Kids Stuff at FBC...VisionOur vision is to enable parents to disciple, shepherd and mentor their children towards a Christ-like attitude and lifestyle by providing a family-friendly atmosphere while leading by example. PhilosophyWe are committed to assisting and encouraging parents in laying spiritual foundations for their children and supporting their ever growing relationships with Jesus Christ; to equipping parents and adults to utilize their God-given gifts, talents and resources to minister to children; to demonstrating God’s love to each individual child and to helping children apply truths from God’s Word to their lives. What is Kingdom Kids?
Kingdom Kids is the name of our Children’s Ministry here at First Baptist Church of Allentown. At Kingdom Kids, we strive to help the children to first come to a saving knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and then to learn how to have a growing relationship with Him. We not only work with the children, but we assist the parents as well. Our desire is to have a partnership with parents in the spiritual growth of their children. Working together, our Kingdom Kids will receive a spiritual foundation that will last a lifetime. Sunday SchoolSunday School classes are held every Sunday morning from 9:30 – 10:45. Classes are for children ages 2 – 5th grade. The Nursery is available for children ages Birth – 23 months. Sunday School is held year round. K.I.D.S. Church – (Kids In Divine Service)K.I.D.S. Church is provided during both Sunday Morning services for children ages 4 – 3rd grade. The children begin the service with their families and then are dismissed before the sermon. Childcare is provided for children ages 3 and under during the entire service. BLAST – Big Laughs And Super Times
BLAST is our Wednesday evening program for children ages 4 – completed 5th grade. BLAST starts in May and ends in August. The children will make crafts, eat snacks and play games that complement the day’s Bible story. We start at 6:45 and end at 8:15. Pioneer Clubs
Pioneer Clubs is for children ages 4 –5th grade on Wednesday evenings. Pioneer Clubs begins in September and ends in April. The children play games, listen to Bible stories, earn badges, eat snacks and can even participate in our yearly Pine Box Race. We begin at 6:45 and end at 8:15. Summer Sundays
Summer Sundays is from May to August and is for children ages 4 – 5th grade. Topical lessons are taught that help the children live their lives the way God would want them to. There is also a small group time for the older children where they can discuss and internalize the day’s topic. The younger children make crafts that help them apply the lesson. Everyone plays games and has fun. Summer Sundays is on Sunday evenings from 5:45 - 7:15. Sunday KNIGHTS
Sunday KNIGHTS is on Sunday evenings from September to April. Children ages 4 – 5th grade are invited to come play games, apply Bible stories to their lives, memorize Scripture at their own pace and even earn “bucks” to spend at our store. Sunday KNIGHTS is from 5:45 – 7:15. VBS – Vacation Bible SchoolVBS is for children ages 4 – completed 5th grade and is typically held during the last week in June. Children are split up into age groups where they will learn Bible stories, make crafts, eat snacks and play games. VBS starts at 9:00 in the morning and ends at 12:15.
