Remembering Who’s In Control (Proverbs 25:2)
[perfectpullquote align=”full” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search it out. Proverbs 25:2[/perfectpullquote]God is all in all and man is not. Since God is the alpha and the omega, beginning and end, He does not need to talk to or work with anyone when it comes to His decisions. Whereas men and women in positions of power and of leadership, will always need to have others to check with to make sure our decisions are always the right decisions. We know that what God decides is always correct whereas men are not. Mankind has always used hidden agendas to gather influence for what they want and not always for what is good. This behavior is a by-product of our depravity.
In Romans 11:34 – 36, we see that man cannot know the mind of God or be His counsel. What can man give to God to repay Him for all He has done? As we see especially in verse 36, that from Him and through Him and for Him are all things and that we need to give God the glory always. We need to understand that God is always in control of all things and does not need input from mankind, as mankind always needs God to be in control.
We see in Psalms 92, how good it is to praise God for all things that he has done. We are called to praise God each day for all He has done for us as His children. In this chapter we see that people who do not know God will try to prosper but God who is forever will punish those who are evil. God will continue to take care of His children through all that we go through.
People from the beginning of time have always tried to be great. We have always tried to be in control of all things and decide for ourselves what we need. In Psalm 145:3 the psalmist proclaims, “Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; His greatness no one can fathom.” We cannot consider ourselves great or even as a work of praise. But what we can be is striving to be like God in al that we say and do. We can work with others to help with important decisions in life, but ultimately, we need to always go to God to help us in all times.
May we always remember that no matter what life gives us, or what difficulty comes our way, we are never alone. All we need to do is reach out to God and He will always be by our side.
